Health Promotion Strategy for the YMCA
Aims1 Nat Council will act as a support for HP work within local associations by building capacity for future HP work within the organisation. - build partnerships to respond to health needs - build effective health promoting policies for every local association - regularly, evaluate, review and improve the standards of our practice at local level. 2 Nat Council will facilitate organisational development by supporting the creation, adoption and implementation of HP policies & procedures - develop all Ireland Best Practice Guidelines - Promote awareness of HP within local associations. 3. National Council will provide Health Education inputs in partnership with local YMCA’s - plan & deliver in conjunction with LA’s relevant and informative HE workshops - keep up to date and informed regarding trends, info and debates within HE 4. National Council will establish networks and relevant relationships with external bodies - to internally and externally raise the profile of the YMCA Ireland’s HP work - create a PR Journal |
