STEP in Cork is never dull!
As well as completing the ECDL and FETAC Level 5 in Communications
and World of Work participants take part in drama, sports and other
recreational activities and outings.
All participants have access to the Youth Information Centre and
Counselling Service and take part in a Health Promotion Programme
and Personal Development module.

Basic
Concepts of Information Technology, Using Computers & Managing Files,
Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Presentations, Internet and
Email, Typing, Communication skills, Personal and Social Health Skills,
Jobsearch skills. Special interest subjects sometimes covered depending on
interest.

Objectives
STEP
enables young people to participate creatively in identifying, owning
& realising their goals in learning to gain employment or go on to
further education. Four weeks are spent on work experience with local
employers.
