Welcome to Lurgan YMCA website.  We hope it informs you about the positives difference we make in the lives of young people in Lurgan.  We have been meeting young people's needs since 1986.  Local volunteer led the way then and are still doing so.  We are committed to the personal and social development of young people.  We believe that our community can live in peace and be a safe space for all citizens.  Therefore, our team is committed to community peace building through helping young people to understand and be secure within their own culture and to better understand those of different cultural backgrounds.  So as you find your way around our site, I hope you are inspired by our work and will consider supporting us.  See "How to help" page.

 In 2007 we became a Charitable Company Ltd by Guarantee.  My role is to manage the day to day running of the company, give strategic direction, manage the team, support programme development and find way to finance the work.  Currently our staff team is small as like all voluntary sector organisations we have experience funding cuts.  However, we are committed to meeting youth needs, improving the safety of the town, creating safe space for all young people no matter their religious or race background.  We offer a wide range of inspiring and interesting youth activities, everyone can find something fun, challenging and educational at Lurgan YMCA.  If you haven't called in to see us yet, come on in a say hi!.
